When a mischievous pussycat yearns to earn the love of his neglectful owner, he displays some rather odd behavior. In this dark comedy, a seemingly cute pussycat starts out his day chasing butterflies on a beautiful spring morning. When he returns home to his female owner, he finds her in a drunken state passed out on the floor. She then awakes to receive a male visitor, who brings her a fresh bottle of alcohol. The woman is so happy and embraces her boyfriend, which gives Pussycat the idea that if he brings his owner a present of a dead bird, she will also embrace him. But when he brings Drunken Owner the dead bird wrapped in paper in the middle of the night, she is horrified and kicks Pussycat out. This makes him even more determined to impress her and win her love. As Pussycat continues to kill an assortment of small animals and keep bringing them to Drunken Owner, Drunken Owner continues to grow more and more horrified. He even kills the mailman as a final grand gesture and Drunken Owner is forced to dig a hole to bury the body! When Drunken Owner is caught and arrested by the police, Pussycat must start living life on his own. He wanders through the forest, and one day finally discovers someone who will appreciate his dead animal ‘tokens of love’: a female cat! Pussycat and Female Cat begin leaping through the air killing birds together and live …
